A very carefully design tooth pattern helps create a smooth chain pick up especially on installations with bad chain line. These are compatible with the new Shimano 12 speed chain as well as KMC and SRAM Eagle chains. Because of the narrower tooth pattern, we recommend that Pro rings are only used on 10,11 and 12 speed chain. Lower speed bikes will have better chain retention with the classic Bling Ring. Just like the 40T, the 42T PRO Ring also features an external chain guide ring to give another level of chain retention and protect your pants from engaging the chain.
