ACERBIS TANK GAS XR650L 5.8 WT- 2044330002

So obviously this is the best tank you can buy for the big red pig if you want alot of fuel capacity. But installing it is a chore. The tank sits like an upside down U on the frame. But the wings of the tank are to skinny to fit the frame. So the only way I could fit it, was boiling like 3 gallons of water, filling the tank with the boiling water, and the fitting it while the plastic was malleable. Real pain. Hope this helps anyone going to install it… be prepared for a battle. Once it’s installed though and you’ve gone through the trouble it’s awesome! I can get about 200 miles before I have to switch to the 1st reserve. Having 2 reserves is awesome as well!
