Using this soapstone pen has become second nature. The clasp is metal so it nicely attaches to a strong magnet I keep by my sewing machines. Soapstones are durable so I am not constantly adjusting to extend its length. Holds a nice point.The soapstone fit in the holder is a tiny bit loose, so the holder must be secured tightly so pressure can be applied during fabric marking.The soapstone doubles as a lubricant. I used it to scrape the threads of the older to ease the threading without using oils which might then get to my fabrics.The holder is solid. Threads could be better milled and the tightness adjustment improved to better grip the soapstone.All and all, great value for my money. I’d buy it again.
