These bits are shorter than the ones sold by dremel. You can slide them up in the chuck of your tool and, if you use the dremel guide, adjust it so that you clear at least 2/3 of the tile’s thickness.These bits are tougher than dremel’s and have a larger cutting surface despite the shorter shank. I actually trimmed a tile set too close to another. It cost me 2 bits (they dulled to the point of not cutting) and on the third I passed through the porcelain.Yeah! These are tough and a great buy before taking on a tile project. They also pass through plastic spacers and thinset (I’m a total amateur and did a bad job with laying the tile) and will handle whatever you throw at them. A much better investment than the competition. As stated by others, this is the one. Pay up front here and you’ll save money AND get higher quality than you would through a big box store.
