Banks 48701 Monster Exhaust System

Stainless steel construction is fantastic. However, it doesn’t fit just right and they don’t include everything on the instructions and are short 1 clamp. The instructions show 2 different pieces of pipe depending on if you have crew cab or mega cab. The longer mega cab pipe is there but not the shorter one. So I had to cut and modify the long one to fit. There’s no way to make it hook up without it given where the hangars are located. Then the rear hangar wouldn’t even come close so I had to modify another one of the pipe pieces. They also short you 1 clamp so you have to reuse or buy one.The sound while driving is fine. At idle it’s throaty and louder and a lower tone and gives a vibration throughout the vehicle. The vibration from the low tone throaty noise goes away as soon as you move and increase the rpm’s. I’m sure it’s louder if you’re behind the vehicle but since you’re not… I don’t care about that.My old exhaust had holes rusted in it and was robbing my mileage. I instantly got back a 2-3 mpg increase after installation, and a good catback will always a hp increase so overall I’m very happy with it. Just didn’t like having to modify, bad lineup, short a clamp, and vibrating at idle.
