3M High-Visibility Ear Protector – Green, NRR 30dB, Model Number H10A-HV

These are quite comfortable to wear for extended periods and do a great job blocking noise but still letting you hear the machinery (a safety factor). I used them with the log splitter without any additional inside the ear type and it really cut the noise…I’d still use some of those foam plugs with it next time for even better protection. I even used them when I was processing some zucchini in the blender for making faux applesauce…lots of blending for quite awhile and no headache when done. They do cut out the sounds of voices. My various family members all tried them out and liked them enough to each by one for themselves. I’m planning on getting a second pair to keep at a second location just so I don’t have to remember to bring them back and forth. I got these for use around power tools and other equipment, so I have not tried them for shooting.
